Finally...actually doing what i hope to do for my life..

When I grow up, I am going to be an illustrator. The only problem is I want to do it the old-fashioned way. I want to paint and go crazy and make covers for books that look like they came fresh off an artist's board. I would rather not use a computer to do it. I want to paint nd draw and glue things, then send it in and see who wants to take it.
The only problem? My parents and even some of my friends I know remind me constantly that if I want to succeed-truly succeed-in art, I need to know how to use the modern day technology. I want to do this my way, but I also want to raise a family and be happily married with my high school sweet heart, and not constantly worry about money.
Any-hazel-witch...The Mis-Adventures of Jillybean. I think it has potential. This really, what I have done is not a finished copy. I am going to develop this idea at home, with paint and my own two hands. It's not going to be computer generated at all. I am totally re-doing this MY WAY and I think I will post it on here to show everyone the difference. How my passion IS art, 100%....how I WILL succeed in life doing illustration the good ol' way. Chances are? This drawn and developed at home will look 100 times better than this computer version I whipped up.
Don't get me wrong, ya'll. I put all of my patience into this project, but...I just can't stare at a computer and draw on it and feel that my creative juices are completely free-flowing. I get itchy saying that I use the computer to complete an art piece in my name.
WHERE IS MY GOD FORSAKEN PAINT BRUSH?????

Typography....OOOH FANCY WORD...

"Just" is a very useful word in the English language. I like it...when someone asks me, "Why are you so weird?" or "Why would you wear such a combination?" I usually answer with "Just because."

"Just is...Just will....Just can be." All very great conversation enhancers. It makes people think and question why they themselves do things.

Soda Promotion

Jasmine-Beckett Griffith is one of the most talented artists I have ever heard of. Her art work is very enchanting, and the girls she creates, rather it be her own version of Little Red Riding Hood or Marie Antoinette, her paintings always turn out very smooth and magical. This Halloween themed painting of hers is incredible! Just found it yesterday and knew a fake release date for my drink is of course going to be Halloween.
Hope you like it:))

Self portrait

This self portrait was a series of unintentional epicness. The spiral effect outlining the left side of my body was at first a mistake, but turned into one of the things I like most of this portrait. I titled it the Life and Lies of Lauren Fox, because if I ever do end up being famous and someone does a story on me, this is the title I command to be seen by readers.

The expression in the picture I chose is my regular Thinking of Life look. I throw over one arm and just revert back to the past. It can be three days ago or three minutes ago, but I just constantly look back on what I've done.

Chameleon Pen Tracer

This wasn't my favorite project...but useful. I didn't master the pen tool on Illustrator as I intended to, but I do have the skill down so if I ever do need to use this I can.

It is a nice little project to get us used to the tool.

Paint my CLOWN.

My mother is terrified of clowns. I used to have a tape of Barnum and Bailey's circus, and she actually threw it away when she saw there was clowns taped.

Mom and I don't have the best relationship. Actually, I have one of the worst relationship type with my Mom then pretty much all the kids at school do. (That I know of.) Things are looking up though, but we will never be the same.

I think of her a lot, and miss her. Clowns have fascinated me though ever since she threw that movie away. Sad, gothic, or just creepy clowns like the one from IT interest me. I am actually starting an at home art project with oil pastels and pictures I found off the internet so I can create my own clowns.

This picture was nice to me. This clown reminds me of prisoners with their mouths stitched shut. There is a hint of sadness that attracts me to this pic.

Enjoy :))
